The rain held off until the Heel-n-Wheel was finished, and the 15 teams raised over $5000 yesterday! Team Lucky Fin raked in a cool $1600+ , garnering the award for the greatest amount raised. They also grabbed the title of “Best Decorated Wheelchair.” Don’t you think they did a great job?
Our capital campaign, 200 Pirate Dreams, leaped to a fantastic start with 18 “Dream” committments on the flagpole. Individuals, businesses or groups can commit to a $1000 Dream and earn a pennant on the flagpole displayed in front of the Atlantic Avenue Recreation Center.
It will take 200 Pirate Dreams to complete Pirate Playground. We’re planning on breaking ground in Fall 2013 and completing the playground by May 2014.
8 Flags Playscapes, Inc. is dedicated to the enhancement of our community through the development of recreational environments that are universally accessible to all.
